With quick dialogues and caustic humour, the characters’ exploits within four walls also include plenty of emotion. As in the theatrical seasons, Funny Little Stories is a showcase for the renewal of humorous dramaturgy in Brazil. It counts on actors, writers and directors who are active in theater, television, cinema and the internet. Likewise, the episodes illustrate several extremely contemporary behaviors, determined not only by the pandemic, but also by new cultural consumption habits and new patterns of interpersonal relationships. Maria stays home and since only one boss continues paying her daily wages, she sews protective face masks to sell and donate to the community. She can customize them if the customer wishes. The apparent friendship between doorman and resident will soon be tested. It’s the final blow to this sardonic allegory about social inequalities that were highlighted by Covid-19 and that no mask is capable of covering up.

Now everything must be meticulously organized in spreadsheets, including all the household chores. Rent, credit card, supermarket, baby clothes, the damn installemnts of that Carnival in Bariloche ... It's time to cut expenses, but which ones? There are plenty of crazy ideas to raise some money on the internet, but it’s not as simple as successful Youtubers make it seem. That's when Claudia comes up with a bright idea that shocks her husband: she could become a webgirl and have virtual sex with clients on the computer. Against Chico's initial protests, she rants a brave feminist speech and turns the tables. She’s guided by Grace Fonda (Paula Burlamaqui), an experienced professional in the business, and that’s how the virtual porn star Holly Claude comes to life. Pregnancy fetishism in porn sites can ensure that the couple stays out of debt. Holly Claude's multiple clients and performances reveal various costumes, poses, dialogues and results. Sharing this unusual home office with her husband creates unexpected and hilarious situations. The problem then becomes how to reconcile so much action in front of the webcam with married life after a long "workday". Claudia and Chico are the living example of the saying "when poverty comes knocking at the door, love flies out the window". Jealousy, male chauvinism, pragmatism and mutual understanding are at stake in this episode. The quarantine only aggravates the situation that already existed in the old normal. In the beautiful mansion that is the now empty venue for the production company, Robinson decides to take it a step further. He turns the house into his "office home" and takes the opportunity to pose as a millionaire on social media in hope of "likes". Following advice from a "media guru" from Bahia (João Pimenta) in order to expand his channel, he takes on the character Robiúdy and records lavish performances showing off luxury and wealth in "his" mansion. With many followers but still feeling lonely, he meets a crush on a gay relationships app, who goes by the codename Prince (Drayson Menezes) and is also an activist By Robinson's roguish logic, it doesn't matter whether he sends his messages and videos, from the cramped bathroom in the slum or the cool scenario of the production company. A series of flashbacks then recounts how quickly living together went from honeymoon status - pure love, companionship, TV and popcorn - to a rupture under the same roof. As much as they make schedules and plans, not every couple is capable of withstanding the "new abnormal". Gabi, more relaxed and confident, tries to introduce Lucas to the practice of yoga and even, who knows, live swinging with everyone wearing masks, of course. She has no intention of quitting "going out" to happy hours, dinners, parties and festivals, everything online and washed down with tequila and other booze. Otherwise, she’d feel smothered, as if she were living a coronavirus nightmare. Lucas, on the other hand, is more apprehensive and susceptible, especially after he starts absorbing the digital influence from pessimistic futurologist Jonas Catão (Luiz Henrique Nogueira). His advice about searching for energetic fluids in order to face a frightening future practically turns the apocalyptic guru into a third, awkward, virtual member of the house. From the living room to the bedroom, feng shui backfires and an abyss starts taking form within four walls. No Way Out reveals how the pandemic is taking its toll on new relationships, turning passion into discord when people are forced to stay in confinement. But considering that online getaways also keep "breaking up", losing connection and getting blocked, what will be the way out?
